Our historical things 

• The are our identity.

  They reflect our culture.

  They speak what our forefathers did including clothes, food, region, utensils, coins etc.

  What is history?

  Answer:

               A set of record,record of old events,a chronological record of important events is called history. 

Some sources of history are as follow:

• Stone inscriptions

  Copper inscriptions

  Documents

  Stories

  Currency

  Idols

  Cookware

  Paintings and Pictures

Stone inscriptions

• Documents engraved on the stones are called stone inscriptions.

  Many kings like Mandeva got the accounts of their rule engraved on the stones.

Copper inscriptions

• Like stones inscriptions,there were copper inscriptions.

  Copper inscriptions were given to someone along with some gift of land or a block of villages.

Documents

• There are valuable documents in offices or in people’s houses.

  They,too, help us know about the past.

Stories

• Stories,too, tell about the past events which may be of historical importance.  

Currency

• Currency bears the date and the name of king or some valuable events.

  So old paper notes and coins are valuable historical objects.

Idols

• The idols kept in the temples,platforms or public places and stones tell us about a lot of the costumes,jewelry and customs of the ancient people.   

Cookware 

• We can know about the lifestyle of the people of the past by seeing their cookware.

Painting and Pictures

• Ancient paintings tell us about the people of the past,their costumes and their work etc.
