What is a conflict in literature?
It is a literary device.
It is defined as a struggle between two opposing forces.

Conflict
An entire story revolves around a conflict.
Understanding conflict will help you understand why the characters behave the way they do.
There are 2 main types.
Internal- arguments or decisions inside of the character's head.
External- when the character has a conflict or struggle with forces outside of their control.

Write 2-5 sentences about a time when you had a external conflict with someone or something.
Mine: I had a conflict with my army sergent. He made me roll a huge tire to the motor pool to the office, which was really far. In the end, I hurt myself doing it and still got yelled at.
