A periscope is an instrument that uses mirrors.

It allows you to see over the top of something.

Uses of Periscope

  • It is used in submarines to see what is on the surface of the sea.

  • People use periscopes to see above the heads of the people infront of them

  • Tanks and armoured vehicles use the periscope to inspect the surrounding.

  • It is used in a nuclear reactor to observe the chemical reactions that are taking place.

  • In military periscopes are used to observe from their hiding position.
