What do you know about water cycle? Explain in 3 minutes.

3

What is Water Cycle?

Water cycle is one of nature's cycles. It is the continuous movement of water from the Earth's surface to the air and back to the Earth's surface.

Changes of state in the process of water cycle

  • Evaporation is formed when the liquid from the ocean, rivers, lakes, and others gains heat from the Sun and changes into water vapor.

  • Condensation is formed when the water vapor loses heat and formed to gather clouds high up in the sky.

  • Precipitation is formed when liquid water falls back onto the Earth's surface as rain or snow.

What happened when water vapor rises in the air? Explain in 5 minutes.

7

What happened when water vapor rises in the air?

Higher up in the air, when it is cooler, the water vapor loses heat and cools down. This causes the water vapor to condense and form tiny water droplets. These tiny water droplets gather to form clouds.

Why is water cycle important? Explain in 5 minutes.

9

Why is water cycle important?

Water cycle is important because it fills the Earth's surface with constant supply of fresh water. It makes sure that water does not run out on the Earth. Without the process of water cycle, living things will all die and would not have enough fresh water to survive.
