• When we describe what people are like, we are using adjectives.

• In French adjectives change according to whether the thing/person we are describing is masculine or feminine.

• Adjectives describing males often end in consonants. These usually add an 'e' to describe females.

• Some adjectives end in 'e' already when describing a male. These don't change.
