2

Mean

  • Also Known as Average

  • It is where you add up the values and divide the sum of value by how many values.

  • Eg. 1,1,2,3,4,7. The mean will be 1+1+2+3+4+7=18,

     18÷618\div6 =3

3

Median

  • This is where you find the middle number of a set of numbers that is in order.

  • Eg. 1,2,3,5,7 the median is 3

  • Eg. 1,1,2,3,4,7 (since there is an even number of values you will have to add two of the numbers that is in the middle an divide it by 2) which is 2.5

4

Mode

  • This is where you find the number or numbers that is recurring (repeated) the most

  • Eg. 1,1,2,3,4,7,7. The Mode is 1 & 7
