Here's what is recommended for your age group...

Ideally people your age need at least 60 minutes of exercise per day that is considered moderate to vigorous levels

But what is considered "Moderate" exercise?

Simple way to tell? When you're exercising it should take a little more effort to talk but you should still be able to carry a conversation.

We'll talk about how to use your heart rate to determine this later...

Vigorous intensity=

Exertion/effort levels are hard to extremely hard and it should be difficult to speak in full sentences. Again you can use your heart rate to calculate this but we will go over this later this week.

  • Helps with memory/attention span

  • Strengthens the heart and reduces risk for heart disease

  • Helps with mental health by releasing brain chemicals like endorphins
