Did you find many branched tubes in a leaf. What do you think those tubes would be?

PARTS OF PLANT

• The flat part of the leaf is called the leaf blade or lamina.

• A thin tube that runs through the middle of the leaf is called main vein. The small tubes that branch out from the main vein is called the side veins. They carry water to all parts of the plant.

• The lower side of the leaf has many tiny pores called stomata. Air enters the leaf through stomata.
