What is regrouping

  • In math, regrouping can be defined as the process of making groups of tens when carrying out operations like addition and subtraction with two-digit numbers or larger. To regroup means to rearrange groups in place value to carry out an operation.

The Answer was 141

6

If you got it right you can get a piece of gum

The reason it was 141 is because 3+8 is greater than the number 10 so you had to regroup the number 11.

You are probaly wondering how can you regroup the number 11. You have to subtract 10 from the 11 and leave the and regroup to the next place value.
