In today's lesson we are going to:
Learn what an algorithm is.
Explore using algorithms to make a character move.
Create a simple program using Scratch Jr.

For this lesson you will need:
Access to a tablet, laptop or phone
A wifi connection
The ScatchJr app (available on the App or Play Store or can be downloaded from their website).

What is an algorithm?
An algorithm is a set of instructions split into little steps that help a computer solve a problem or learn to do something.

What is an algorithm?
Last term, we used algorithms to turn Dash and Dot into different animals.
Today we will be using a program called Scratch Jr to build our own algorithms and make a character move around the screen.
