Why are they called "Boot verbs"?

  • All forms have the 'stem change' except nosotros and vosotros

  • When you circle all but those two forms, the chart looks a little like a boot.

What if I forget?

  • Sometimes, when you do it 'wrong,' it feels wrong, and people notice their error (like when you spell a word wrong and it just doesn't look 'right'

  • Mistakes generally do not affect comprehension/understanding: people will still usually understand what you're saying

  • Rarely, the mistake will seem a bit silly:

  • Juego al fútbol: I play soccer.

  • Jugo al fútbol: Juice, soccer style.
