Although

• The words although and since are conjunction. We use conjunction to join words, phrases and sentences.

• We use although to join two contrasting ideas. Use a comma to separate the two sentences.

• Example: Although King William was very rich, he was not happy.

• *although = walaupun

Since

• We use since to show cause and effect.

• Example: Peter brought a mirror to the palace since he could not draw a perfect picture of the king.

• Example: Since he could not draw a perfect picture of the king, Peter brought a mirror to the palace.

• *Since = kerana / disebabkan
