Proper nouns are names of people, places, animals and things

Example - Mrs. Violet, Taj Mahal, Tiger, BMW Car

Common nouns

Common nouns just tell the names.

Example - ball

Collective nouns

These nouns collect a group of nouns

Example - Flock of birds

Choir of singers

A group of islands

Abstract nouns

It is the name of some quality, feeling, state, or an action that we can only think of or feel but cannot touch or see.


Example - Honesty is the best policy
