DOP Practice

KEY TO DOPs (Step by step)

• Determine who/what is receiving the action (direct object noun)

• Determine what DOP will REPLACE that direct object noun. (me, te, lo, la, nos, los, las)

• Place it in the correct spot in the new sentence

Direct Object Nouns

• Receive the action

• Usually answer Who or What

• Yo compro unas bananas en el mercado.

• Podemos oír a Ricardo.

• With infintive construction (quiero ver) and present progressive (estoy comiendo), the DOP can go before the first verb or attached to the end of the second

• Quiero ver la tele --> La quiero ver or Quiero verla

• Estoy comiendo los tacos. --> Los estoy comiendo or Estoy comiéndolos.
