In Spanish, we use jugar or hacer to talk about sports.

• Jugar a (to play) : tenis, fútbol, baloncesto, bádminton, balonmano

• Hacer (to do): atletismo, natación, equitación, gimnasia, ballet.

Por ejemplo... for example...

Normalmente juego al fútbol.
