What vocabulary do you need to know?

  • Staff: Five lines and four spaces on which we write music.

  • Barline: The line that divides the staff.

  • Double Barline: This tells you when the song is complete.

  • Repeat Sign: Tells you to go back and sing a section of the song again.

  • Measure: The space between two barlines.

  • Treble Clef: The clef for higher voices.

  • Bass Clef: The clef for lower voices.
