  • The first thing they did was write more petitions to King George III and Parliament asking them to reverse the punishments and allow for a colonial representative.

  • This had given the Minutemen plenty of time to gather. Roughly 2,000 militia members and citizens had lined the sides of the road where the Redcoats would travel.

  • The colonial militia was firing at the Redcoats from behind trees, stone walls, houses and sheds.
