• parts of a person's behavior and attitude that make up their personality. 

• They are often shown with descriptive adjectives, like patient, faithful, or jealous.

Types of character Traits

• Values- Generosity, Kindness, Patience, Fairness

• Dark Side- Dishonesty, Rudeness, Selfishness

• Leadership- Confidence Enthusiasm Bossy

How do identify character traits

• Our job as readers is to draw a conclusion about the character's traits from what the character says, thinks, and does. 

• When identifying character traits we should look at them from the inside and outside

• Some examples would be: outside- short, freckled, brown hair

• Inside: brave, smart, caring, honest
