There are 7 continents:

-North America

-South America

-Europe (yur·op)

For their adjectives of place (demonyms), we add the ending -an (North/South American, European, Asian, African, Oceanian).


In the case of the American continent, another common word is Latin America, whose demonym is Latin American and the informal terms Latino and Latina.

Be especially careful with Latin American countries, because some of their names have a different pronunciation than in Spanish.

Finally, remember that, unlike Spanish, nationalities and languages always start with a CAPITAL LETTER, as well as towns/cities and countries.
