What are we doing in art this month?

In February, to celebrate Black History Month, we'll learn about a lot of amazing artists who inspire!

Example: Amanda Gorman

We will learn about contemporary artist: B Mike

He is a muralist based in New Orleans who creates public art around the world

This month, we'll also learn about famous artist: Kara Walker

Walker is famous for her black and white art created with paper and glue

And, we'll explore the work of Kehinde Wiley

He created portraits of the Obamas while they were in office!
