Baz Luhrmann

  • Directed William Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” in 1997.

  • His mise en scene (the sets, props, colors, etc.), as well as the actor’s movements, help the audience to understand the Shakespearean language of the play.

The Prologue - To help the audience understand the language of Shakespeare, Luhrmann provides:
