1. Use comparative to compare two things.
2.Use superlative to compare one thing to many other things.
3.To say something is the same, use as+adjective+as.
4.To say something is different use not as+adjective+as.

Add than after the comparative to compare to things/people
The Sales Manager is more popular than the Financial Manager.

Comparison with -er/-est
We use -er/-est with the following adjectives:

One syllable ends in e

One syllable ends in vowel + consonant

Adjectives with two syllables, ending in -y

Two or more syllables

Irregular adjectives

Two-syllable adjectives that end in the suffixes -ow, -le, -er, -y can form comparative and superlatives both with the endings -er and -est, and with the words more and the most.

Examples
crazy → crazier → the craziest
crazy → more crazy →the most crazy
pretty → prettier → the prettiest
pretty → more pretty →the most pretty
