  • Comparative

  • Superlative

Use

  • 1. Use comparative to compare two things.

  • 2.Use superlative to compare one thing to many other things.

  • 3.To say something is the same, use as+adjective+as.

  • 4.To say something is different use not as+adjective+as.

  • We use -er/-est with the following adjectives:

Two-syllable adjectives that end in the suffixes -ow, -le, -er, -y can form comparative and superlatives both with the endings -er and -est, and with the words more and the most.

  • crazy → crazier → the craziest

  • crazy → more crazy →the  most crazy

  • pretty → prettier → the prettiest

  • pretty → more pretty →the  most pretty
