Simple Present

• we use simple present to talk about something that happens regularly

• we can also use it to give our opinion or for instructions

• remember: He, she, it, --> das "s" muss mit

• examples:

  He likes pizza.

  We always go to Edeka.

  "Take one end of the string and pull on it."

Questions in simple present tense

• For questions we need one of two things:

• a question word like: where, who, what, how, etc.

  or

  a form of "to do" (do/does/don't/doesn't)

• the sentence structure is still: S(ubject) V(erb) O(bject) (SVO/SPO)

  The question word AND/OR "to do" always goes before the S(ubject)

• examples:

  "Do you like pizza?"

  "When does the bus come?"

  "Doesn't this ice cream look delicious?"
