What is Informational Text?
Informational text is a type of literature that is nonfiction and presents information in order to inform or educate an audience.
Informational texts are different than persuasive texts in that the former (informational texts) is driven by fact and are presented as an unbiased and objective work. Persuasive literature relies on rhetoric to convince an audience.
Informational texts simply present facts.
