a gas is something like smoke air is part of a gas air is something to can't see you can see a solid you can see a liquid.when you boil water the water will turn into a gas and thing that has smoke coming from it it is a gas except for smoke when it is soooo cold out side and you see smoke coming from your mouth that is called water vapor that is not a gas.
