Struggle (strug-gle)

• verb - action word

• struggle means to try hard to do something that is difficult

• synonums for struggle - try hard, fight, grapple

• I really struggle with math because some things are hard to me.

Argue (ar-gue)

• verb - action word

• aregue means to use words to fight about somethin

• synonyms - contend, dispute, fight

• Please do not argue with your little brother!

Secret (se-cret)

• noun - person, place, thing, or idea

• secret means something not known by others

• synonyms - hidden, private

• Shhh! Don't tell Margaret about the secret club; we don't want her knowing about it.

Journey (jour-ney)

• this word can be a verb, action word, or a noun, a thing

• journey means to travel from one place to another; or a trip from one place to another

• synonyms for journey - a trip one takes, travel

• The longest journey starts with a single step.

Narrow (nar-row)

• adjective - describing word

• narrow means something that is not wide from side to side

• synonyms for narrow - thin, not wide

• The boat made it through the narrow pass.

Promise (prom-ise)

• verb - action word

• promise means to do something that you say you will do

• synonyms for promise - pledge, make a vow, give your word

• I promise to follow the rules, no matter what!
