Prime Factors.

Find the prime factors of 18.


The factors of 18 are 1, 2, 3, 6, 9 and 18.

Of these, 2 and 3 are prime numbers, so 2 and 3 are the prime

factors of 18.

An easy way to find prime factors is to divide by the prime

numbers in order, smallest first.

Find the prime factors of 24 and express it as a product of
prime numbers: 

 24=2 ×2×2×324=2\ \times2\times2\times3  OR
 24=23×324=2^3\times3
