Remember, when we multiply fractions that do not have a whole number, or any numbers in comon, all we need to do is multiply the two numerators together and then multiply the two denominators together to find our new fraction!

Multiplying a fraction by a whole number!

If you are multiplying a fraction by a whole number, all you need to do is turn the whole number into a fraction. For example, if you have the number 5, all you need to do is make it into a fraction by putting the 5 on top (numerator) and a 1 on the bottom (denominator).
