Why is important our today's objective?
So remember, there's a difference between living things and non-living things. Living things include flowers, animals-- things that are going to perform all those life functions.
Non-living things aren't alive, weren't alive, didn't come from anything alive-- things like rocks and water. But whether the substance is living or nonliving, whether the object is living or nonliving, everything is made of elements.
A large fraction of the chemical elements that occur naturally on the earth's surface is essential to the structure and metabolism of living things.

Multiple Select
Mark all that apply. Why is today's objective is so important?

Because are 6 common elements found in living organisms
It is important to know more about all elements

Can eating less meat help reduce climate change?
As the Paris Conference of the Parties (COP21) draws near, the international spotlight is more focused on climate change than at any time since the Copenhagen talks of 2009. But amid all the talk of decarbonizing energy and transport systems, one crucial area remains in the shadows. The livestock sector produces about 15% of global greenhouse gases, roughly equivalent to all the exhaust emissions of every car, train, ship, and aircraft on the planet.
A new report from the think tank Chatham House, Changing Climate, Changing Diets: Pathways to Lower Meat Consumption, argues that without concerted action to address overconsumption of meat, it will be near impossible to prevent global warming from passing the danger level of 2C.

Review: Matter, Atoms, and Elements
Everything in the universe is made of matter. The matter is anything that has mass and takes up space. This makes it different from energy. Something like light can fill a space, but the light has no mass. So the matter is made of this basic unit, a picture of which you see in front of you.
An atom is a basic unit of an element. An element is a pure substance. . Take a look at that picture. t's got a black ball in the middle and little red balls flying around on the outside. The little red balls flying around on the outside are electrons. The black ball is the nucleus, it's in the center of the atom, and it contains protons and neutrons. The number of protons determines what kind of atom it is.
So if that nucleus contains only one proton, that's the element hydrogen. If it contained two protons, that would be the element helium. Now you can take all the different kinds of atoms that exist and you can organize them according to their numbers
