How to Compare - Part 1

When we want to compare 2 things, like 2 paintings, we use the comparative form (συγκριτικός).

• Κάποιες φορές θέλουμε απλά να σχολιάσουμε κάτι που παρατηρήσαμε: The 1st painting is prettier than the 2nd one.

• Κάποιες άλλες φορές, όμως, θέλουμε να είμαστε πιο ακριβείς και να δώσουμε έμφαση: The 1st painting is much prettier than the 2nd one.

Συμπλήρωσε με το επίθετο στην παρένθεση για να δώσεις έμφαση.

How to Compare - Part 2

Τι συμβαίνει με τα πολυσύλλαβα επίθετα;

• Όταν το επίθετο έχει από δύο συλλαβές και πάνω βάζουμε more: The 1st painting is more beautiful than the 2nd one.

• ...ή less (λιγότερο): The 1st painting is less beautiful than the 2nd one.

• Πολυσύλλαβα επίθετα - Έμφαση: The 1st painting is a bit more beautiful than the 2nd one.

• Πολυσύλλαβα επίθετα - Έμφαση: The 1st painting is a bit less beautiful than the 2nd one.

Συμπλήρωσε με το επίθετο στην παρένθεση για να δώσεις έμφαση. (είτε less είτε more, ό,τι θες)
