About:
- Located in Oman and the UAE
- The highest mountain range in the Eastern Arabian peninsula
- They are located 100 km East of Dubai
- Jebel Jais is a mountain of the North-Western Hajar range in the Musandam Governorate of Oman and also in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. The summit has an elevation of 1,934 m.

The Atlas Mountains extend some 2,500km across northwestern Africa, spanning Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia, separating the Atlantic and Mediterranean coastline from the Sahara Desert.

1. Middle Atlas, High Atlas and Anti-Atlas (Morocco)
2. Saharan Atlas (Algeria)
3. Tell Atlas (Algeria, Tunisia)

1. Middle Atlas
- Lying completely in Morocco
- Many peaks that exceed 2400 m
- The highest peak is Mount Bou Nasser 3340 m
- Popular touristic destination

- Also called the Grand Atlas
- Location: Central Morocco
- The biggest mountain range in North Africa
- The villages in the High Atlas are small and are home to the Berbers

- Called Little Atlas
- Location: Morocco
- Very good road network

- Eastern portion of the Atlas mountain range
- Extending from Algeria into Tunisia

3. Tell Atlas
- Over 1500 km in length
- From Morocco through Algeria to Tunisia.
- It is parallel to the Mediterranean coast
- Home of many animals and plant species
