What is 'complex'?

The word ‘complex’ means a group of parts together.

A complex sentence is when different parts of sentences are put together.

Complex sentence has and independent clause and dependant clause.

So what is a clause?

A clause is a group of words that has a subject and a verb.

Independent clauses can be a sentence on its own.

Before I can play any games.

Dependent clauses requires the independent clause to make the sentence.
