Our state is broken up into two parts
The Upper Peninsula
The Lower Peninsula
Ohio and Indiana border us to the South, Wisconsin to the West of the UP, and Canada Across the Detroit River and the St. Mary Riverway.

Townships are blocks of land that have not been broken into city borders.
