Motherhood, causes income loss or delays in career advancement (something men never have to experience, even if they want a child too).
Men are less likely to participate in household or caregiving duties, forcing women to make sacrifices with their time at work, in order to care for the home.

Women's Day is not about praising women. Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
The day also marks a call for action. We need to continue to fight for the rights of women and minorities and prevent any forms of discrimination that continue worldwide.
So what can you do?
- Participate in your community by voting, signing petitions, attending rallies, and demanding a change in policies that affect your community
- Educate yourself, family and friends on the information you learned in this presentation
- Break stereotypes through your word choices and actions
- Support qualified women aiming for leadership roles in your classrooms, colleges, universities, and communities
- Listen to speakers who can share their experiences with discrimination and help you gain a better understanding of why this matters
- Boycott people, organizations, or social media accounts that promote discrimination or stereotypes of any kind
