Let's examine some movie speeches

Techniques

• vary speed- how fast or slow do they read.

• vary volume- how loud or quiet do they read.

• Pause- are there places they stop or pause while reading.

• emphasize particular words and phrases- do they make or explain a word/phrase in depth or show importance of words/phrases.

• use body language and facial expressions

• changing tone of voice- high pitch, low, could resemble ages

• speak expressively- give emotions

• 5-10 minutes long no more or less.

• It WILL be monitored with a teacher to see who is doing what they are supposed to.

• Leaders- Share their screens with reading and asking the questions.

• Time Keepers- Let the group know when their it 1 minute left to wrap up.

• Chat Monitor- Makes sure everyone is on topic and reads out any responses.
