Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport, played on a volleyball court. We hit a ball over a high net. The ball is not allowed to touch the floor. You score a point if the ball touches the floor on the other teams side. In volleyball, we can pass to our teammates before hitting it over the net.
The games are played to 25 points. If your team reaches 25 points first you are the winner. You must win by 2 points.

Volleyball Rules
There are 6 players per team
Each team can only hit the ball 3 times before it must go back to the other team
A player cannot hit the ball two times in a row.
You can hit the ball with any part of your body
You cannot catch, hold or throw the ball

Serve
A serve is used to start the game. We also use a serve to restart the game after a team wins a point
Being able to serve is an important skill in volleyball.
We can start a rally by serving in two different ways. We can use an underarm serve. We can also use an overarm serve.

Types of Serves
Underarm serve - we swing our arm under the ball
Overarm serve - we swing our arm over the ball

Underarm Serve
We hold the ball out infront of our body with one hand. We use our other hand to swing under the ball and hit it up and over the net.

Overarm Serve
We use one hand to throw the ball up over our head. We use our other arm to swing and hit the ball when it is high above our head.
