also known as "present simple" and "present indefinite"

What is a "Simple Present Tense"
Verbs that tell you about things that happen again and again and again
Something that happens either every day, every week, every month, every ever and ever

For example:
I play videogames every day.
They eat chicken every week.
We buy hamster food every month.
You read books every night.

Simple Present Tense is basically...
Subject + Verb 1 + The Rest of the Sentence
Like this: I (Subject) + eat (Verb 1) + mushrooms every day (Rest of the Sentence)
And you have: I eat mushrooms every day.

I, You, We, They
When we use these words as the subject, we don't have to do anything to the verb.
Just go: I / You / We / They + Verb 1 + The Rest of the Sentence

When the letter before -Y is a vowel, we just need to add an -S.
Like this:

Why did we add an -S? Because the letter A in PLAY is a vowel.
