Slide image

2

What is a "Simple Present Tense"

  • Verbs that tell you about things that happen again and again and again

  • Something that happens either every day, every week, every month, every ever and ever

3

For example:

  • I play videogames every day.

  • They eat chicken every week.

  • We buy hamster food every month.

  • You read books every night.

4

Simple Present Tense is basically...

  • Subject + Verb 1 + The Rest of the Sentence

  • Like this: I (Subject) + eat (Verb 1) + mushrooms every day (Rest of the Sentence)

  • And you have: I eat mushrooms every day.

5

I, You, We, They

  • When we use these words as the subject, we don't have to do anything to the verb.

  • Just go: I / You / We / They + Verb 1 + The Rest of the Sentence
