Tom lives in New York, but he and his parents were born in Ecuador. Tom loves Ecuadorian culture and traditions, and he especially loves Ecuadorian food. He travelled to Ecuador last year and he tried many typical dishes from the Coast, the Amazon, and the Highlands. Now, he wants to invite Paula to have dinner in an Ecuadorian restaurant in New York. He found the restaurant Ñaño Ecuadorian Kitchen. Let’s read the restaurant review.

I’ve tried a lot of cuisines over the years, but I had never had Ecuadorian. I’m glad I stopped by, because I just learned it is delicious! Prices were reasonable ($14-$15) and the service was excellent. The owner is very friendly; he is the chef and he also serves the food. It is a small and cozy restaurant, but there is no parking available in the area.

Encocado de Camarón: I absolutely love patacones, so this was perfect for me. Basically, they are patacones molded into a small cup shape with shrimp in the middle. It looks like an appetizer you can eat with your hands!

Fritada: Fried pork chunks, because obviously crispy pork is the best kind of pork! The dish also comes with a mix of other stuff: fried potato chunks, avocado slices, pickled onions (which pair perfectly with the pork), sweet plantains, and salad.

Seco de Pollo: I can see why everyone loves this! The chicken was so tender. The sauce wasn’t spicy, but it was full of delicious spices. It had a unique taste that was different from the other Latin American cuisines I’ve had.
