Equations of Horizontal Lines

Horizontal Lines run from left to right. They are flat with zero slope and no x-intercept. However, the have a y-intercept, hence the equation is in the form y = b; where b is the value of the intercept.

Equations of Vertical Lines

Vertical Lines rise from top to bottom. They are have an undefined slope and no y-intercept. However, they have a x-intercept, hence the equation is in the form x = a; where a is the value of the intercept.
