Adverbs of manner
This kind of adverbs conveys the manner, approach or process of the action.
They answer the question HOW?
The alarm rang loudly.

Adverbs of time
These adverbs indicate the time of an action and answer the question WHEN?
She went to the concert last Saturday.

Adverbs of place
These ones indicate direction of the action.
They answer the question WHERE?
Put the cake there.

Frequency adverbs
They tell us how frequently the action is performed.
They answer the question HOW OFTEN?

Sentence adverbs
They start the sentence and modify the whole sentence.

Conjunctive adverbs
A conjunctive adverb connects phrases or independent clauses. It provides transitions between ideas and shows relationships. They are also known as connectors.
