Comparative adjectives

  • Use comparative adjectives to compare two nouns.

  • Add "-er" to the end of most one-syllable adjectives to form the comparative

  • add "r" if the adjective finishes in "e"

  • We use "more" with adjectives which have two or more syllables.

  • add "ier" to the adjective if it finishes in "y"
