• Σχηματίζεται με το απαρέμφατο του ρήματος χωρίς υποκείμενο e.g. Open the door! , Turn left!

• Σχηματίζει ΑΡΝΗΣΗ με το don't ΜΠΡΟΣΤΑ από το ρήμα e.g. Don't talk during the class.

TIP

Για να γίνουμε πιο ευγενικοί χρησιμοποιούμε τη λέξη please στην αρχή ή στο τέλος της πρότασης.

e.g. Open the window, please.

Please, don't make so much noise.

Remember the modal verbs

1. Αντί για διαταγή, μπορούμε για πιο ευγενικά να κάνουμε request (= παράκληση) με το CAN

Can you open the window, please?

2. Όταν λέμε τι ΠΡΕΠΕΙ να κάνει κάποιος (obligation), χρησιμοποιούμε το MUST

e.g. You must clean your room.

You mustn't drink and drive. (ΑΠΑΓΟΡΕΥΣΗ)

Let's (Let us) = Ας

Let's + Ρήμα

e.g. Let's go to the beach.

1. Το χρησιμοποιώ για να προτείνω κάτι

2. ΑΡΝΗΣΗ -> Let's + not + ρήμα

e.g. Let's not go out tonight.
