Frequency Adverbs

• Describe how often an action happens.

• There are six main adverbs of frequency that we use in English: always, usually, often, sometimes, rarely, and never.

100% = ALWAYS

I always wake up at 7:30 am.

90% = USUALLY

I usually meet my friends after school.

70% = OFTEN

I often go to the mall on Saturdays.

50% = SOMETIMES

I sometime eat wafles on the weekend.

10% = RARELY

I rarely go to the library on Sunday.

0% = NEVER

I never eat peanuts, I'm allergic to peanuts and chickpeas.

• 80% = NORMALLY - I normally swim on weekends.

• 30% = OCCASIONALLY - I occasionally call my grandma.
