Relativsätze benutzt du um zu einer Person oder einem Gegenstand noch weiter Infos zu liefern.

This is the boy who wears a red shirt.

Das ist der Junge, der ein rotes Hemd trägt.

Gebrauch:

1. Bei Personen benutzt du "who"!

2. Bei Gegenständen benutzt du "that" oder "which"!

- Umgangssprachlich benutzen einige Muttersprachler auch "that" bei Personen!

Macht das aber bitte nicht :-)

Tiere sind Dinge (that/which) es sei denn, sie haben einen Namen/sind Haustier (dann auch: who)
