What is muscular Endurance?


  • Muscular endurance is the ability to use your muscles or group of muscles to perform repetitive contractions against a force for an extended period of time. The greater your muscular endurance the higher number of repetitions you could complete.

What are the benefits of muscular Endurance?


  • Endurance activity keeps your heart, lungs and circulatory system healthy and improves your overall fitness. Building muscular endurance can also help to prevent injury during physical activity, increase metabolism, produce better sleep, help you maintain a healthy body weight, increase energy levels, and enhance performance in sports.

Examples of Muscular Endurance exercises.


All of the activities on the dice challenge are muscular endurance exercises. Many people train by doing multiple repetitions and sets of each exercise they perform. For e.g 4 sets of 10, one or two minutes of each exercise.

Activities that build muscular endurance include long-distance running, cycling, or swimming, along with circuit training, medicine ball workouts, weight training with low weights or body weight and high reps and bodyweight exercises. You can improve muscular strength and endurance by doing repetitive movements until the point of exhaustion.
