Middle East
The Middle East is unified by similar landforms, similar religions, and cultures. It has an abundance of petroleum. Civilizations grew up along major rivers (Tigris, Euphrates, and the Nile) Three of the world's major religions began here.

North Africa
Just like the Middle East, North Africa is unified by similar culture, landforms and climate. It contains the world's largest desert (Sahara) and the world's longest river (Nile). Most people practice Islam. Although most governments are limited, there is still much unrest.
