When more than wave moves through a medium, they can meet.
When this happens, the waves add together as they travel through each other.
This is called Superposition

Waves meeting and combining as they move.
When the crests of two waves meet, their two amplitudes add together.(the wave is taller for a moment)
Thats how waves can move through each other.
