Visual texture

Everything around you has texture. Texture refers to how something feels to your touch. When you touch an object or a surface , it may fell rough, smooth, hard, or soft. In a drawing, an object appears rough or smooth because of the way the lines and color patterns are used.

11

Actual texture

Actual texture is the real texture of an object. Whether smooth or rough, you can tell the texture of an object by feeling or touching it.

12

Simulated texture

simulated texture is the type that is created to look like something it is not. For example, in drawing or painting of a cat where its fur is made to look like real fur. Invert texture, on the other hand may look rough, smooth or any other feel but is purely made up by the artist. It does look like "real" texture.
