Foods in the fruit group are nutritious because they are full of many different kinds of vitamins.


Vitamin D and Vitamin C are very good for keeping your skin healthy as well as healing cuts and bruises. Many fruits are full of Vitamins C and D!

Your skin is the largest organ in your body!


Your skin covers your muscles like a special glove, and it protects your whole body from germs.


When you get a cut or a bruise, it's important for your skin to heal.

Which Fruit Grows Where?

  • Fruit can grow on trees, bushes, or vines.

  • Fruits like apples, oranges, and pears grow on trees.

  • Fruits like blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries grow on bushes.

  • Fruits like grapes and watermelon grow on vines.

Some fruit has only one seed (called a pit). Most fruits have multiple seeds inside.


Next time you eat a fruit, see if you can find the seed (or seeds) inside of it!

  • Fruit is easy to eat at any point in the day. They are great for breakfast, with lunch, as a snack, or even as part of dessert!
