The diagram shows the heights of a plant at the end of each of 3 weeks. After Week 1, the plant is 3/10​ meter tall. Another way to represent the height is 0.3 meter. Both 3/10​​ and 0.3 can be read as three tenths. They represent 3 parts of 10 equal parts of a whole.

  • The information that is given in the problem shows that another way to represent the height 3/10 meter is 0.3 meter. I used this information to represent 5/10​​ meter also as 0.5 meter. I used this information to represent 7/10​​ meter also as 0.7 meter.
